Dear Mr Simmonds
Thank you for your letter of the 15th May.
We are delighted that you have taken the time to read the articles written, in particular the one published in the "New Civil Engineer" this week, which I understand has a readership of some 30% local authority engineers, together with 40% consultants who produce reports for these local authorities.
We genuinely want to see some progress and hope that we are not about to encounter a "digging in of heels" to attempt to prove us all wrong, but rather embrace the newly elected Borough Council and all work together - open and honest communication - to achieve the satisfactory outcome that we all so want to see.
With that in mind, I would welcome the opportunity to carry out an interview with you as part of our media video, entitled 'Vox Popularis – Voice of the People' - please let me know your availability over the coming weeks. You have my own personal assurance that we wish to make progress on the delivery of a major road scheme for Boston and hope we can all demonstrate that fact, openly and honestly, to our town's very patient Bostonians.

BBEG Meet MP
The BBEG met with Mark Simmonds MP in Sept 2006.
BBEG Chairman Robert Fisher states: "It was a very
revealing meeting, and it also gave us the chance to
reaffirm our group's stance that a bit-part solution
will not be acceptable - we do not want to be passed
off with another John Adams Way by widening existing
roads - the only solution is the provision of a decent
road infrastructure around the town."
